Church Planting
To assist churches in starting healthy reproducing churches . . . Vision:

16 - And Jesus came and said to them, ”All authority in heaven and earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. 17 - Northfield, MN is a potential new church start location, with a population of just under 20,000 and only 5 evangelical churches. Please pray for a church planter and a key family to initiate the work. http://www.ci.northfield.mn.us/
18 - Robert & Pam Terrell and their two sons are active in Plover, WI where they live, as well as in Stevens Point, where the Tapestry Church meets. Pray for their family as they serve God together.
19 - Northern Lakes Baptist Association, Wisconsin – Bob Stockland, interim Director of Missions. Please pray for the associational annual meeting October 2 as decisions will be made concerning next steps towards a new interim DOM.
20 - Waukesha, WI is a potential new church location. Pray for the spiritual needs in this city of 65,000, and for church starters to be called to invest their lives in this harvest field. http://www.ci.waukesha.wi.us/web/guest/waukesha
21 - Pray for a Parent Church Network that is being considered to encourage and enhance the participation of existing churches in the starting of new churches.
22 - Iglesia Hispana in Rochester, MN is being led by Gerardo Rodriguez. Pray for the church family as they continue to reach out and invite people to their Saturday morning worship service. http://www.baptistsites.net/ro/
23 - “The harvest is abundant, but the workers are few. Therefore, pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.” Luke 10:2 HCSB
24 - Three church planting leaders from the MWBC will participate in the church planting focus week at Liberty Seminary in Lynchburg, VA October, 6-8. Please pray for the recruitment of church starters and for summer interns to come to MN and WI.
25 - Lakeville, MN is a potential new church start location. Pray for the people who need to know Jesus in this city of over 50,000 population. http://www.ci.lakeville.mn.us/
26 - Northwoods Baptist Association, Bob Stockland, Director of Missions. Pray for the follow up of those reached through Vacation Bible Schools, block parties, and camp.
27 - Roberto & Jennifer Torres live in Milwaukee and serve at Everlasting Mercy Fellowship in Racine. Please pray for them as they reach out in their bi-lingual community. Services are in English and are translated into Spanish.
28 - One of the purposes of the MWBC is to assist churches and associations in planting churches in Wisconsin and Minnesota. Ask the Father for wisdom, compassion, and the partnerships necessary to reach the 10.5+ million people in our two states with the gospel message in a way that they can understand.
29 - There are many Laotian families in Warroad, MN and the Warroad Laotian Baptist Church is being started to reach them. Please pray for Aaron & Naomi Satchwill as they serve both the Anglo and Laotian congregations.
30 - (Jesus said) “As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world.” John 17:18 NIV
31 - One option for reaching people is the house church, also called simple church or organic church. Please pray for six leaders in our two states who are working to develop a network of house churches.
September
1 - Pray for Greenville Baptist Church in Greenville, WI. Cody & Nicaela Wells have recently come to give leadership to the new church. Pray for them as they serve and ministry among the people there.
2 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Acts 1:8 CEV
3 - Wisconsin Rapids, WI is a place in need of more evangelical witness. Pray for Trey & Lea Ann Turner and their family as they work to develop a house church network that will impact the entire city. http://www.wirapids.org/
4 - Please pray for Chris & Zong Heng and their daughter as they serve the Twin City Hmong Baptist Church in St. Paul, MN.
5 - Bay Lakes Baptist Association, Dennis Hansen, Director of Missions. Pray for Dennis’ health and for the health of the association as they serve in northeast Wisconsin. Possible new church start locations include Green Bay and Fond du Lac. http://blba.org/
6 - Plymouth, MN, a western suburb of the Twin Cities, is a potential church start location. Pray for church planters and core group families to be brought together to impact this region for Jesus Christ.
7 - The MWBC Church Starting Team will be meeting September 22-24 to work through the church start funding renewal process for the 17 churches receiving Church Growth Assistance. Pray for wisdom and understanding as the 10 people meet in Rochester.
8 - Each of the eight associations in Minnesota and Wisconsin will be having an annual associational meeting this fall. Pray for each association of churches as they meet for business, educating, and encouragement in these busy days.
9 - For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. Romans 3:23-24 NIV
10 - A new church start this summer is Madison Brotherly Love International Church, led by James and Lydia Lee. Please pray for them as the reach out to the international community as well as the academic community in Madison. http://www.madisoninternationalchurch.org/
11 - Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY is one source for church planters. Pray that God will call out students for the work here in our two states. http://www.sbts.edu/
12 - Pioneer/Western Baptist Associations, Bob Ray, Director of Missions. Pray for this family of churches as they work to fulfill the Great Commission in their setting.
13 - Please pray for Ernesto & Malu Alfonzo and their two sons as they work to start churches in both LeMars, IA and in Worthington, MN. Pray for effective discipleship and for safety in his travels.
14 - Hudson, WI is a potential new church location. Hudson is actually in the Twin Cities metropolitan area, and is a dynamic, growing area. Please pray for church planters and core families, and necessary partnerships to be discovered. http://www.ci.hudson.wi.us/
15 - Pray for Paul and Cheryl Fries as they minister in Heartland church, Muscoda, WI. Paul is also the pastor of Blue River Valley Church in rural Muscoda.
