David & Sara Gaskins

In 2019, David and Sara Gaskins planted Mosaic Church in what might be the most statistically unchurched city in all North America . . . Provo, Utah.

“This is a beautiful community. Our nickname is Happy Valley. Every lawn is perfect. Every home is immaculate. But that’s the wild thing—Happy Valley is a sarcastic nickname because almost nobody is happy here,” says David. It is “the heartbeat and hub of the Mormon church.”

As a church planted through the North American Mission Board’s Send Network, Mosaic grew slowly but surely because people who know the real Jesus stand out in the community.

“When we just displayed the fruit of the Spirit, whether that was joy, peace, or kindness, that was incredibly attractive to this community because all they’d ever seen was fake.” David says.

“Every Sunday when I hear them sing, I cry because the Spirit is overflowing in that room,” Sara says. “It’s almost like in the book of Acts when it talks about the early church. There’s such a hunger and a desire to know and worship the real Jesus. It’s incredible to see.”

When our church gives through the Cooperative Program (CP) and the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering, we help church planters like David and Sara Gaskins to be able to take the good news to unchurched cities like Provo, Utah.

Pray for David and Sara as they continue to build relationships and disciple new believers in Provo through Mosaic Church.
