Nearly 50 volunteers from churches in Minnesota and Wisconsin gathered at the Church at Wazeecha in Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., June 15-21 to work alongside that congregation in impacting their community with the love of Jesus. Three local churches participated: Church at Wazeecha, River Cities Community Church, and First Baptist Church of Wisconsin Rapids. Church at Wazeccha’s pastor Trey Turner and Jonathan Lemaster of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Rochester, Minn., worked together to coordinate the community
service projects and evangelistic outreach events.
Volunteers made repairs to trailer homes, cleaned out an invasive weed on one end of Lake Wazeecha, and made improvements to homes, two non-profits and the host church through painting, landscaping and tree trimming.
They also put on a block party to build relationships, share the gospel, and connect people from the community with local churches.
